Fresh Summer Makeup Look

I'll be using the following Products for this Look:

1) Mac Cream Color Base in Pearl
2) Mac Studio Fix in NW 44 (used as a Bronzer)
3) NYX Matte Lipstick in Sweet Pink
4) Max Factor False Lash Effect Waterproof Mascara

5) Catrice Eye Brow Stylist
6) L'oreal Concealer Perfect Match
7) Clinique all about Eyes Concealer
8) P2 Perfect Face! Oil Control Base
9) Nivea Sunblock SPF 20

This is basically my daily makeup look (minus the bright lips). I used to wear a lot more sparkly eyeshadows and eyeliners, but I'm not really feeling that look at the moment. Probably because my eyelids get even more oily at this time of year. Sometimes I wish I had another skin type, which causes me less "problems". I noticed that a lot of asians share the same skin type. The main reason is probably the very delicous but also extremely oily asian dishes with those countless yummy sauces. But every skin type has its advantages and disadvantages. The bright side of having a oily to combination skin is not having to deal with wrinkles at my age, which is certainly quite cool.

25 handwritten Facts

We live in a cyber world, where a big part of our personality is kept behind the monitor of the computer. I took this post as a chance to share a little bit of my person with you. And what better way is there than some handwritten facts about myself?

8 Things I like #June

1. "The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas" by John Boyne: This is the saddest, the most tragic, touching and shocking story I've ever read. At the end of the book you're left with a very heavy heart, watery eyes and so many thoughts in your head.

2. Dove Body Lotion Shea Butter: I love the smell of shea butter. It's smells like a asian dessert, that I really like. It also makes your skin really soft and moisturized.

3. Dried Figs: My favorite snack. It's full of sugar though, so I only eat one a day. I like to mix it in my muesli.

4. Essie "Lights": At first I thought this color would look a little tacky on the nails, but I was wrong. It's such a fun and vibrant color and it's just perfect for the hot weather we've been experiencing here the last couple of days.

5. Hamsa Bracelet from Claire's: I bought this last summer after I returned from my holidays in tunisia. I haven't worn it since, but now I feel like wearing them again. It reminds me of the beach and the good times I had back then.

6. About a Boy: I completely forgot how much I enjoy watching this movie. I daresay it's in the top 3 of my favorite movies of all time. Gotta love Marcus shaking his ass

7. My gold Casio watch: Without it my left arm feels incomplete.

8. "Everything has Changed" by Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran: Because I love Ed Sheeran.

Dots and Chiffon

I'm wearing:
Blouse / Pull & Bear
Skirt / American Apparel
Bag / Zara
Sandals / H&M

Last Saturday I worked at an H&M branch in Zurich for the first time ever. I was responsible for the fitting room and my job was putting the clothes, that people tried on, back on the hangers. Sounds so simple, but it got pretty stressful at times. Especially if you're working on a saturday, in one of the biggest shopping centers in Zurich in the women section. I don't understand why people decide to spend a lovely and sunny saturday in an air conditioned and crowded space with artifical lights. People are so unreasonable sometimes.

Mint Candy Apple

I'm wearing:
Knit Sweater / Only
Jean Shorts / Levi's
Sneakers / Chucks

This is how I'm dressed most of the time these days. Just casual and easy. I've never been much of a accessories girl. I never rocked arm parties or wore a lot of bling around my neck. There was a time when I used to buy lots of rings, I don't know where they've gone now, they have all disappeared in a mysterious way. As I mentioned before, my wardrobe is pretty useless to me at the moment. Fifty Percent of the clothes that sit around in my wardrobe I either don't wear or only wear at home, because of their hideousness. At the moment I'm saving all of the money that I earn for two purposes: new Clothes and a better camera lens.

White Choco Cake

I felt like baking yesterday, so I made the easiest cake ever. Originally it's made with dark chocolate, but my family prefers white over black chocolate (I don't). I got this recipe from a friend of a good friend of mine. She made this on my friends birthday last year and I remember thinking that it was the best chocolate cake I've ever eaten so far.

  • 4 Eggs
  • 200 g Chocolate
  • 150 g Butter
  • 150 g Sugar
  • 100 g grounded Almonds
  • 2 Tablespoons of Flour
  • Some Walnuts (originally it's done without Walnuts, but my family, myself included loove nuts)

  1. The first step is to section egg white and the yolk into two separate Bowls. Beat the egg white.
  2. Add the Sugar, the grounded Almonds, the flour and the walnuts to the bowl with the yolk and mix it together. Melt Chocolate and Butter and add it to the bowl. Blend it all together.
  3. Take the beaten egg white and add it to the dough. Don't overmix it, just gently blend it together.
  4. Put the dough into any baking mould you'd like and put it into the preheated oven at 220° for 20 Minutes.

After 20 Minutes, take it out of the oven. Let it cool for a bit and then dust it with powdered sugar to make it even more delicious. And then you're done. Eat it!

At my Friends House

I'm wearing:
Leather Jacket / Zara
Top / Zara
Pants / Zara
Sneakers / Nike

I was invited over for dinner at my friends house yesterday. She lives in a cute old fashioned house with red shutters that matched my pants. It was a fun evening among friends.
The annoying person who always draws the attention on photos, is Gabi, she owns a blog too.
Today I'm gonna do something I've never done before. I'm gonna go outside with my tripod and camera and shoot photos of myself. I might feel a little akward, or rather very akward, but what am I to do when everyone else who used to take my photos is either at school, at work or studying. Let's see how that goes.

Mufasa in the House

I'm wearing:
Crop Top / Little Baby Nothing
Dress (worn as skirt) / Salad
Leopard Slippers / New Look
Collar Necklace / H&M

And now we're shooting indoors again. It started to rain yesterday evening. I wasn't prepared for that and had to run home and hide under roofs. At the moment I have no other interests than earning money for my holidays. Right now I tutor every morning from monday til friday and I'm applying for several promotion jobs on weekends. In July I'll be working at a nursing home for a month and serve lunch and dinner for the elderly people. This is the first summer that I'm having several different holiday jobs in three months. It all sounded pretty stressful to me at the beginning, and I wasn't sure if I should accept that many jobs. But last week I worked 6 days in a row and I really enjoyed working so much. I like having more than one job at a time, because it's so diversified and exciting.
In September I begin to study Design in Zurich and I'm really looking forward to it. I know that's the right path for me, because Design leads to jobs with a huge diversity. Not only you get to be creative, but also you get to work with so many different clients and sometimes even get to travel around the globe. I don't know where life takes me yet. But my dream job has to be exciting and versatile, that's for sure.

EDIT: My Boyfriend just told me that the name of the lion wasn't Mustafa, but Mufasa. Of course I know that, but somehow I got the name mixed up. Hahaha, my bad.

1) Thierry Mugler "Alien"
2) Cacharel "Amor Amor"
3) The Body Shop "Madagascan Vanilla Flower"
4) Calvin Klein "CKIN2U)

These are some perfumes that I own and that I really like. I like sweet scents and vanilla has always been a favorite of mine. I never really bought a lot of perfumes, because honestly I have a really bad sense of smell. My nose is practically disfunctional. A lot of my friends know and are shocked by this confession of mine. But it's true, I hardly smell anything, unless I inhale vigorously. So that was the reason why I never really cared about scents and perfumes, because I never really sensed them. Now that I'm writing this I realize how tragic this is. However everything has its advantages. Like I will never notice someone farting next to me, which is a huge blessing in my opinion.

I'm wearing:
Duffle Coat / Pull & Bear
Shirt / H&M
Pants / Zara
Shoes / Booster
Bag / Second Hand

I'm not going to talk about the weather in this post, because it has been quite sunny the last two days. I'm afraid that if I praise it too much, it'll disappear again. I've been busy with work these days. Ever since I'm finished with school and my summer holidays started, and even before, I've been on the hunt for jobs, in order to earn some money for the holidays. In my head I've already made a rough list of things I have to get when I'm in Seoul.
Today I was wearing my Lightweight duffle Coat that I got in Madrid three years ago. I always feel like the Bear Paddington when I'm wearing it.
