Officially Loving Fall

I think I've never seen a prettier Fall before. Today, like the last couple of days it was all sunshine and no dark clouds! In the end of october! How amazing is that.
These pictures were taken on last saturday. I underestimated the warmth of the air and was getting way too hot underneath my coat, sweater and shirt.
Yesterday I finished watching Breaking Bad. You all know it, but I have to say it as well: It's the most thrilling and tragic Tv show I've ever seen. The story line is well elaborated  and the performances of the actors are brilliant, touching and strong. After Breaking Bad I was in the mood for something more exhilarating and watched an episode of How I met your mother. And all of the sudden I noticed how bad the actors were compared to the ones from BB. But of course it's a whole other genre and should not be put in comparison. Now I'm on the search for a new tv show to watch. What kind of Tv Shows do you watch? Any recommendations? And before I forget it, thank you for those of you who keep coming back to my blog and post lovely comments. I see them and they make me really happy :)

Afterschool

The last couple of days have been lovely weatherwise. It's unusual to have such warm temperatures in the end of october - but of course when it comes to weather and our seasons, there is nothing usual about it anymore. You might have noticed or not, I've bought a new camera lense and have been using it for almost a week now. It's a Canon 50mm lense with 1.8 f. I love how blurry the backdrop gets and how sharp the person/object in the front is. It's definitely more fun to shoot outfit photos now! Which is what I did the last few days. These photos were taken after school on Thursday by the river Sihl in Zurich.

30 Centimetres

One of my favorite Tv Shows is Germanys next Topmodel and I'm not embarrassed to admit that. My favorite episode of the whole season has always been the makeover part. I enjoy watching before and after pieces a lot and I like to make fun of all the girls who cry over their haircuts, as if the hair will never grow back again. I had a pretty big makeover myself on last friday, when I decided to chop off 30 centimetres of my hair. I've been wearing the long straight hair for almost 4 years now, and I really wanted a change! I've been thinking about cutting my hair for a little while now. I don't regret my decision at all, it sure was quite exciting and maybe also a little bit frightening. But luckily I didn't break down crying after my hairdresser did the two cuts and handed me my dead hair, which was tied together like a ponytail. I took the ponytail home, don't really know why I did that, because it kinda grosses me out when I look at it now. I'm still figuring out how to style this new hair, it's much more tricky than with the long hair. But it takes me a lot less time in the shower, which is so convenient!

Twisk and Twirl

No I'm not asleep on the photo above, even though I might look like it. These are the rest of the photos that we (and by we I mean my friend Christine and I) took last saturday. I'm still wearing the same clothes, except for the Coat and the Cardigan, which I exchanged for my newest addition to my wardrobe: a Second Hand Suede Jacket which I picked up a few hours before we did these photos. It was a total steal, I got it for a couple of francs at the flea market in the city. It was quite windy that day and I was in the mood for a little bit of twisking and twirling.

Autumn Leaves

Altough my Birthday is in November, Autumn has always been my least favorite season. When I thought of autumn, I thought of puddle of mudd, rain, dark clouds and dead leaves. But today, when I went to the city all wrapped up in multiple layers (coat, cardigan, shirt, skirt and tights) walking around a flea market with the wind blowing through my hair and the smell of sweet chestnut in the air, I had to admit that autumn wasn't so bad after all. The leaves actually looked quite nice. The dark clouds didn't bother me at all. It's actually quite nice to be able to wear more layers again. I pulled out some of my last autumns favorites like my Mango Coat and my cosy checkered Cardigan. I was in the mood to play with textures, as you can tell.

Blue Tones

Matching the backdrop to my outfit is becoming a thing for me. I went outside to have some pictures taken after school and I had a hard time putting an outfit together. Lately I've been feeling like I have nothing in my wardrobe that really meets my fashion demands. Is it possible for a girl to change her taste in fashion so frequently? It seems like every single piece of clothing that I've bought in the last couple of months, including those from seoul, have already lost their appeal to me. First World Problems. Maybe there is only a little bit of wardrobe cleaning needed, because I seem to only grab for those pieces that are visible to me and that aren't hidden under a pile of fabric. Maybe then I might rediscover some old pieces that I could wear again.
