TARTAN

I know I look very stupid doing this feet and hand movement but I'm really diggin my new shoes. And my scarf. It has got a Christmas kind of vibe to it. And plus, I feel like a Gryffindor when I'm wearing it which is cool too. Next week (Provided we all won't be dead by then) I have to work on my art portfolio and I'm looking forward to it, even though I know I got a lot of work to do. I got to make a big effort and for the first time in a long while I feel motivated and enthusiastic, which is really refreshing and great. I hope this positivity will last my whole christmas break.

UNSPECTACULAR

Today, like a lot of days, I felt like wearing all black. I think it's so easy to pull a neat looking outfit in black together. Great for lazy days, just like this one. Last weekend I sorted out all of the clothes that I won't wear anymore, and I was surprised by the amount of pieces that landed on the pile. I'm very uninspired these days, don't have much energy for everything. And I hate this laziness inside me, it's taking up so much space and prevents me from doing so many things in my daily life. By tomorrow i'm gonna make it stop, or else it will eat me up entirely until i'm left with nothing but a sad little body with all its energy gone, escaped.

I wanted my eyes to be green for a change. And yes you guessed it, that's my bathroom where i'm taking photos in. I realized that we don't have one single plain wall in our appartement.

I'm in a egocentric mood and I thought I should throw in some random facts about me.

AKWARD

I turned twenty-one last friday. I had a blast with my friends and I realized how great my girls are. I just love hanging out with them and I feel like they make me a better person and they give me the best influence ever. 

On saturday I went to the city with my sister, I wanted her to take photos of my outfit, but I felt really akward, because there were people hanging around in the vicinity.

MODE UP CLOSE

so i helped out at our countries biggest fashion event the last few days. I worked as a volunteer, which meant standing around, smiling and helping models to get in their clothes. in my case, i had to help the guests find their seats. I was very looking forward to this event. but after the first two days my enthusiasm shrank with each passing hour. The people who worked there, no matter what position they had, they all felt like yelling us around like bimbos. We came there by ourselves and didn't even get paid for it. Yes, we were bimbos in a way, because we didn't have much to say, but when i was standing in the hall and helping the people with the seats i got snubbed at the same time, that was the point when i realized how super stuck up and rude all these people are. I understand that they are all under pressure, trying to make this event a success, but this is not the way how you should treat people.

I'm not saying that it wasn't a great event at all. Apart from that I really enjoyed helping out, seeing interesting people and watching the models walk down the runway up close. I like helping out, and I have enjoyed it the last few times when I did.

Anyway, the good thing about the event was, that I got to see Charlotte Ronson's spring 2013 collection. There were some pieces that I really loved. For example the grafic prints on the shorts and tees and the cropped shirts. I like the sporty and the sexy twist of the outfits.

 

This was a slightly more personal blog post. But I felt like writing it, and I feel like I have to write about more personal stuff, because I always like reading more personal things about other people. 

PLASTIC PANTS

This is a photo I took a month ago, when the weather was still warm enough to walk around town without jacket. I wore my tightest black pants, my boyfriends likes to call them plastic pants. He hates em. 

At the moment I'm busy with shoolwork and figuring out what I wanna do next summer. I really have to start thinking about my future and my education, which scares the hell out of me.

DIGGIN IT

8 things that I'm really feeling at the moment:

1. Dark Lipsticks. Or any kind of Lipsticks to be honest.
2. Socks peeking out of boots. Such a great detail to any of your outfits.
3. Tattoos. Not that I'm saying that I wanna get inked anytime soon. But I'm slowly aquiring a taste for it.
4. Photographic Prints on Garments such as graphic or animal prints. Already seen them last year on Poppy Delevingne.
5. Hats, especially beanies. Beanies are my favorites. I love em. I bought roughly six beanies within this month.
6. Blonde Asians. I personally don't have the guts to try it out (not yet).
7. Cooking Videos. I just recently discovered em while browsing through Youtube. Now I just can't get enough of them! I just watched like 15 videos in a row before posting this.
8. Chill Out Sound. Press Replay over and over again.

MORNING SICKNESS

LYON

due to the wedding of my cousin i had the chance to visit lyon over the weekend. The wedding was lovely and so much fun! I really enjoyed it. After the ceremony we had a few hours left to wander around the city. I thought I'd show you some impressions of lyons vielle ville.

I WILL BLOG

I've neglected this blog lately. I've been fed up with loads of different things

and I just seemed to have forgotten about my little baby here. I got very much into instagram. Have

been posting pictures non-stop there. If you'd like you can follow me there as well (my username is luu_melanie there). 

Now, as you might not know, I love to make shopping lists once in a while. My list is just

too much for my wallet to handle, but I still like to create em. Just for fun.

UP UP AND AWAY

this is a bag that I got in bulgaria. It looks like a briefcase, and I like briefcases.

i'm happy to escape the cold sad weather again. I'm flying to tunisia this afternoon and

i'll be staying there for a week. I'm taking my laptop with me, hoping that I'll be able to 

blog and show you some pictures of the beach.

eight days flew by so fast and here I am back at home again. 

I didn't get as bronzed as I expected, and the sea wasn't as clear as I thought, but

OFF TO THE BEACH

i'm heading towards south. As we all know: big disappointments come from

high expectations, i'm not going to anticipate too much for my holidays. But with my friends 

coming along with me, i know for sure that it'll be good.

BEACH STUFF

can't hide my excitement for my vacation to bulgaria next tuesday. I got some

nice stuff at the sales this week. I just had to pick up two amazing bikinis and some

simple brown sandals. At the beach, I'll definitley need a book and my fisheye cam for

some funny shots. Lastly, I'll paint my toenails in the most vibrant colors.. just because I like it!

I have been sleeping

... or rather been fed up with college! I've got my hands full with several (very annoying) little schoolwork. I just want to close my eyes and sleep and have someone to wake me up when summer break arrives.

Energy

Ever since last saturday, when I worked at the Energy Fashion Night in Zurich, I have caught the Karolina Kurkova and Andrej Pejic Fever. I got to take a picture with the lovely and beautiful Karolina, but I'm afraid I can't show you, because I look like a total midget next to her!
I wasn't supposed to take any pictures while working, so i just leave you with this one.
