I'm quite aware of the fact that I've been wearing my white Converse a lot these days. Mostly when I take pictures of my Outfits. But I can't help how easy they are to combine with other clothing pieces, like this supercool aztec-ish printed Sweater I found at Zara a couple of weeks ago (it was on sale!). I'm not a big aztec print fan, or at least not anymore, but this jumper I had to have. I've told you that my boyfriend likes to comment absolutely every single clothing piece I buy/wear. This time he told me the sweater looked like the ones B.I.G. had worn. I took it as a compliment!

This is the second round of the photos we did the other day. As we walked along the River we came to this stone wall. Christine gave me her sunnies because I got dazzled by the sun. It was shining so bright I had difficulties to keep my eyes open. After we, respectively, my friend took a few photos in front of this wall my memory card run out of space. So we decided to call it a day and enjoyed some sips of refreshing sparkling lemonade at a bar. Side note: on a few pictures it might seem like I have a willy, but I promise you, I'm a girl haha.

My friend Christine and I went to Zurich on my day off on Wednesday. She is a great photographer and I love getting photographed by her, she makes me feel really comfortable in front of the camera. I got inspired by the DKNY backstage photos from s/s 13 hanging on my pinboard above my desk, so I went for a simple white and bluejeans look. For a nice pop of color I added a soft pink Lipcolor on my lips.
We spent the whole Afternoon by the River and experienced an extreme weather change. At first it was cloudy, then suddenly it was pelting down with rain and after ten minutes or so, the clouds magically disappeared and the sun came out. Christine managed to use up my whole memory card and a lot of Photos turned out really nice. Which is why I'm gonna share the pictures with you in two or three separate posts.

Today I had a look through all of my 156 posts I've posted on this blog. I noticed how much the content of this blog had changed over a year. I noticed that I had posted a lot more posts like this one here. Random Snapshots of my daily life. I remember how much I enjoyed looking at photos like these, because they give you a glimpse into someones life, not just focussing on fashion.

On hot weather days I hate putting a lot of makeup on. That day I completely skipped makeup and only put my sunscreen all over my face. My bf and I wanted to rent a boat, but unfortunately a storm was about to arrive, so we had to change our plans. I think this is the first summer I'm not getting a tan. Up until this year I've always been an excessive tanner. On each sunny day, I would run outside and tan the whole afternoon, hanging by the lakeside or chilling on my balcony. This year I'm fed up with work and when I have my days off, I'd rather get some more important things done like catching up on sleep. And that's exactly what I'm going to do right after I've posted this. 

July Moodboard

I'm trying to be more creative here. I noticed that I don't really use my pinboard, which has been hanging over my desk in my room. So I decided to use it as inspirational board and pin pictures on it, that have been inspiring me throughout a month. Not only fashion related things, but also motivational pictures and quotes or my latest youtube or music finds. After I've collected a good amount of pictures, I'll post a picture of my pinboard here and share it with you. I have never seen something like this before and I thought it would be quite fun.

Pineapple Bottom

When I saw these shorts with tiny little pineapples application lying on my sisters bed the other day, I couldn't resist trying them on. As everyone has seen by now, fruits have become quite a fashionable object on clothes this summer. The shorts are little bit too tight for my taste, but it's fun to wear. In a few I'm heading out to a wedding dinner of a couple I don't really know. I hope I get to stuff my stomach with lots of delicious bites and get food pregnant by the end of the day.

Last weekend was my first ever Zurich Carnival experience, and I experienced this huge event to the fullest: I went there all three days. On the first day I went with my best friend M (on the picture) right after the graduation ceremony of my brother. I've always enjoyed going to carnivals, because they bring a little more excitement to the quiet and quite boring daily life here in Switzerland with usually no buzz at all. Even though I'm not moving towards going on shabby looking mini rollercoasters and carrousels, I just love to hang around at carnivals, because it's always packed with thousands of people (in this case millions of people) and nasty but delicious snacks and food. I'm a sucker for raclette cheese bread, sweet corn cobs, samosa, caramelized almonds and bratwurst. Later that night we enjoyed watching the fireworks (even though it's the same as the fireworks on new years and national holiday). I took little to no photos at all from the fireworks because from experience I know that the snapshots will all turn out to look the same. 

Friday Afternoon

On Friday I had my day off from work and my bf and I went on a little shopping spree in order to find some pants for him. We're invited to a wedding next weekend, which I'm quite excited about, even though I don't know the bridal pair. I knew that my bf is extremely picky when it comes to clothes and I had expected that the shopping wouldn't be quickly done - but I underestimated his fussiness. In fact we spent the whole afternoon for just one pair of pants. I think I'm much less complicated than him. In between flicking through racks of clothes and fitting room visits we had lunch at a restaurant in the middle of the city. I chose to have something from the buffet, it was so delicious! I need to remind myself to go there more often.
